Whereas most designers are dressing for the modern busy woman by jazzing up the classics and making them more elaborate and unique, Richard Nicholl took a step back this season and simplified everything to an extreme. In fact he was so extreme, he didn’t even put on a catwalk but rather displayed his work through a presentation. The first dress down the catwalk at Issa mimicked the invitation we had received only days earlier. This was a trans-siberian experience and the prints were taking us on a journey from the first to the last model. In fact the only relief found from the printed theme was with select knits, fur hats and knee high boots.
